Banca Sella SpA is the main company of the Gruppo Banca Sella, one of the largest banking groups in Italy. This privately-owned, independent banking group consists of about 20 companies operating across Europe.
The company has over 4,100 employees who serve its diverse customers via their 300+ branches in Italy and abroad. Its activities include a wide range of banking, asset management and insurance products and services. The company has its roots in 1886 and is headquartered in Biella, Piedmont. The bank pursued its growth through branch network expansion as well as through acquisitions and the creation of a banking group.
As of December 31, 2014, Banca Sella Group ranked No. 21 in a survey of the largest Italian banks by total assets released by Ricerche e Studi. Banca Sella SpA had total assets amounting to EUR10.659 billion as at 30 June 2015.
