Privacy policy and cookies

What data banksofitaly.com collects, how advertising and analytics cookies work on this site, and your rights under the GDPR.

By Ionut PopeaChecked

This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit banksofitaly.com and what choices you have.

Who is responsible

The data controller for this website is Popea Ionut, an individual, who runs Banks of Italy. You can contact the controller at hello@banksofitaly.com.

What we collect

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data for every request, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to keep the site secure and working. Logs are kept for a limited period.
  • Advertising. We show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, measure them and, where you consent, personalise them. In the EU, UK and Switzerland, a consent message from Google lets you accept or refuse these cookies before they are used for personalisation. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy link in that message.
  • Analytics. If we enable Google Analytics, it uses cookies to count visits and see which pages are useful. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. Analytics cookies are only set in line with your consent choices.
  • Email. If you write to us, we keep your message and email address to reply and to handle corrections.

The IBAN checker, codice fiscale checker and other tools on this site run entirely in your browser. What you type is not sent to us or stored.

We process server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website, advertising and analytics cookies on the basis of your consent, and emails on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to you.

Third parties

Google (advertising and, if enabled, analytics) may process data outside the EU under the safeguards described in Google’s own privacy policy at policies.google.com. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email hello@banksofitaly.com. You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or the authority in your country.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change and show the new date at the top.
