About FinecoBank

Fineco began as UniCredit’s online bank and broker and has been fully independent since 2019. It has no branch network in the usual sense; customers bank online and through a large network of financial advisers.

Its multicurrency account lets customers hold and trade in several currencies, which suits people who earn or save outside the euro area.

FinecoBank SWIFT/BIC and ABI codes

FinecoBank uses the SWIFT/BIC code FEBIITM1 for its head office. When a form asks for 11 characters, add XXX to make FEBIITM1XXX. Some branches and services have their own 11-character codes; if the account holder gives you one, use theirs.

The ABI code 03015 identifies FinecoBank inside every Italian IBAN. It sits in characters 6 to 10, straight after the check letter (CIN):

IT60X0301501600000000123456CountryCheckCINABI (Fineco)CAB (branch)Account number

Illustration only, not a real account. Use the Italian IBAN checker to validate a real IBAN and see which bank it belongs to.

Using FinecoBank ATMs with a foreign card

Fineco has no ATM network of its own. Its cards work at any Italian ATM, and Fineco’s own withdrawal terms depend on the account plan.

Opening a FinecoBank account as a foreigner

Fineco offers an account for non-residents. As with any Italian account, you need a codice fiscale. Fineco is often recommended to expats who want an Italian IBAN alongside investing and multicurrency features.

You will need a codice fiscale first. Our guide to opening a bank account in Italy lists the documents and steps.
